Defender® (LWP)

Defender® parts are bi-metallic and laminated wear parts for the surfaces on a bucket that see constant sliding abrasion. Each style comes in several sizes so you can match the pattern to the bucket.

Two flat blocks round out the family. The flat block and the bi-metallic block are both 6.00 in by 8.00 in by 1.50 in and weigh 18.14 lb.

Heel plates

Heel plates protect the back of the bucket where it drags. We make weld-on and bolt-on versions, including bolt-on plates for OEM references 109-9215 and 9W6749, and we design and fabricate custom plates to fit your bucket. Send us the bucket model or a photo of the heel and we will size it.

Bolt savers

Bolt savers keep the heads of cutting edge bolts from wearing away so the next change-out does not turn into a torch job. The 1.06 in I.D. style is the mechanical version of the 3.13 in I.D. style.

Half Arrows

Half Arrows protect the base edge between teeth. Each piece runs 144.09 in (3,659.8 mm) and can be cut to the length you need. Robotic PTA or ARM+ overlay is available.

RaptorPlate® is our chromium carbide overlay plate, sold as full sheets, cut strips and ready-to-weld patches. Standard stocked sheets are 60 in by 120 in. The 44.25 in by 105 in sheets are available on request, so contact Raptor or your local distributor.

Tungsten carbide overlay and Rambo bars

Robotic overlay is available at every Raptor CISC (Continuous Improvement Service Center). ARM+ suits high wear with moderate impact, ProARM® suits high wear with high impact, and PTA suits severe wear with moderate impact. It goes on tips, adapters, cutting edges, bolt-on segments and plenty of other wear components.

Rambo bars bring that overlay to flat and round stock you can weld where the wear is worst.

Laser scanning and custom work

If the part is not in the tables, we make it. Raptor can laser scan your equipment through any CISC or directly on site, and our engineers use that scan data to design RaptorPlate® or HarderPlate® wear kits that are fabricated in-house for a proper fit. The same data checks pin and bushing alignment. Custom castings are available too.

What do you need to quote a wear part?

The part number if you have it. If not, the machine model, the bucket or blade, and a photo of the worn area. We can also scan the equipment.

Can sizes be customized?

Yes. Heel plates, dozer steps, Half Arrows and wear kits can all be designed and made to your dimensions.
