Welder jobs in Edmonton and Barrie

Welders at Raptor work on mining wear parts such as wear plate, bucket liners and heavy fabrications, plus overlay and hardfacing on parts that go back into the pit. It is production welding on thick steel where fit and finish matter, because the part has to survive in a mine.

Machinist jobs

Machinists cut, finish and check parts for mining equipment to spec. If you run manual or CNC equipment and like seeing your work go straight onto a haul truck, loader or excavator, this is that shop.

Labourer and general shop jobs

Labourers support the fabrication, rebuild and shipping crews: prep, grinding, cleanup, material handling and loading. It is physical, steady work in an industrial shop, and a good way into the fabrication trades if you want to learn from experienced tradespeople.

What it is like to work in a mining fabrication shop

Raptor manufactures and repairs wear parts and equipment for mines across Canada, the US and South America. Our CISC (Continuous Improvement Service Center) in Barrie manufactures and repairs buckets, liners and wear parts. Check the Indeed listing for the location and details of each opening.
